‘Iron’ Mike Tyson recently commented on the upcoming exhibition fight between Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather and Logan Paul. Mayweather Jr will be making his return to the ring for the first time in just over two years on February 20th 2021.
It was confirmed late in 2020 that ‘Money’ would be taking on YouTuber Logan Paul in an exhibition bout in just under two months. Whilst many boxing purists have slammed the concept, it is set to be a huge box office draw amongst causal fans and a younger demographic more in tune with YouTube and the surrounding culture.
During an episode of ImPaulsive, Mike Tyson would predict how he sees this exhibition fight going. ‘Floyd’s gonna beat your f*cking a**’ Tyson explicitly stated directly to Logan Paul. “But it’s gonna be good! It’s gonna be good. You’re gonna fight back, though! He [Mayweather] might let you hit him a couple of times, to make it a show?”
Floyd Mayweather’s last professional bout took place back in August 2017. The 43 year old boxing legend defeated UFC star Conor McGregor, somehow who fans felt at least had a chance against ‘Money’ in the ring. Logan Paul however? It’s going to take a miracle.
Mayweather has fought in another exhibition bout since defeating McGregor. Floyd defeated RIZIN kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa extremely quickly when they fought back in 2018.
