It was recently reported that the originally ‘planned’ main event for AEW’s All Out PPV event has been changed. ‘Hangman’ Adam Page was set to be challenging Kenny Omega for the AEW Championship, but this is apparently now not the case.
Dave Meltzer reported the news in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, confirming that the company has decided to go a different route for the top Championship match at All Out.
It is not confirmed if the imminent arrivals of CM Punk and Bryan Danielson had anything to do with the change in plan, but it may well be the case.
Adam Page and The Dark Order lost in a 10 man tag team match on this week’s episode of Dynamite, meaning that Page could no longer challenge Omega for the title.
Fans believed that AEW would find a way out of this, but it appears as though they are sticking to the stipulation.
