It has been reported that former WWE Superstar and Free Agent Ruby Riot will be heading to AEW as soon as her 90-day non-compete clause has ended.
Fightful Select first confirmed the news, saying that the AEW Women’s division will be getting a ‘shot in the arm in the form of a respect WWE alumni.’
The news was leaked by talent and industry insiders, who claim that the free agent Ruby Soho (her post-WWE name) will be available for the company shortly before the AEW ALL OUT PPV event on September 5th.
It was also noted by Fightful that “one promoter said that they’d reached out as far back as a month ago and were told Ruby wasn’t taking bookings.”
There is currently no news on what AEW has planned for the free agent when she gets to All Elite, but it will be a huge signing for their Women’s division.
Free Agent joining AEW
AEW will be heading to Pittsburgh for next week’s episodes of Dynamite and the world premiere of AEW Rampage. The following has been announced for the shows on Wednesday 11th and Friday 13th:
