AEW star and leader of The Inner Circle Chris Jericho had to get a little physical with a crowd member who jumped the barrier on this week’s episode of the show.
Jericho was part of a segment with MJF where The Pinnacle leader laid out his stipulations for Jericho to get another shot at Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
The fan attempted to enter the ring during Jericho’s entrance, with the capacity crowd in Miami signing his Judas theme as ‘Le Champion’ made his way to the ring.
At first AEW tried to avoid showing the fan on camera, however Jericho could clear be seen trying to get a shot in on the intruder.

Both MJF and Jericho referenced the interference from the fan during their segment, with Jericho saying that he “should’ve let that fat b*stard come in the ring to kick your ass” to Friedman.
Chris Jericho now has to go through 5 stages to get another shot at MJF, with The Pinnacle leader confirming that at least 4 of those stages will be matches of Friedman’s choosing, with Jericho HAS to win back to back.
MJF’s choices will also contain stipulations, although it is not confirmed what these will be, and the 5th stage that Jericho has to go through also has yet to be revealed.
This angle is very much like that of MJF vs Cody Rhodes, where Rhodes had to go through his own trials to get a match against Friedman, including the first AEW cage match against Wardlow.
