New AEW signee CM Punk recently spoke to Marc Raimondi of ESPN. The straight edge star discussed several topics during the interview, including the reveal of WWE contacting him in December 2020 to negotiate.

‘I remember one of the first things I ever said to them [WWE] was, ’˜Above all, don’t play games’” CM Punk began. “And they played games. Some things never change.

“When you enter a conversation with people you have a past with and you know who they are, how seriously can you take it? I know exactly who they are and they just continue to prove it. I’m trying to be as diplomatic as I possibly can.

CM Punk will be making his in-ring debut for All Elite tonight at the AEW All Out PPV event in Chicago, Illinois against Darby Allin.
