New AEW signee Ruby Soho recently spoke to Digital Spy. The former WWE Superstar discussed several topics during the interview, including the conversation she had with Lars Frederiksen following her AEW debut.
Lars is a member of the band Rancid, who gifted Ruby Soho the entrance theme that she shares her name with.
‘I told him, ’˜You guys made that moment that much more special to me’” Ruby Soho began. “My love for punk and my love for pro wrestling came together in that moment.
“This is everything that has built me and who I am and it came together that night and it was because of [Lars] bestowing this amazing gift on me, being able to use the name and the song. ’˜I was like, ’˜You helped make that moment that much more special even more than I could have ever imagined’’ Soho concluded.
The former WWE Superstar is set to face Dr Britt Baker on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT Network for the AEW Women’s Championship. Soho earned the right to challenge for the gold after winning the Casino Battle Royale at the All Out PPV event on Sunday, September 5th.
