AEW stars The Young Bucks have once again taken a sly dig at WWE for their business practices that have caused outrage among the pro wrestling fanbase.
WWE has been releasing a number of talents over the past few months. Several high profile names have been cut from the roster, including Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Aleister Black and NXT’s Bronson Reed.
According to a recent report from Dave Meltzer, WWE is looking at completely revamping the developmental system, with a renewed focus on younger and taller performers who are potentially ‘box office.’
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer read out a memo from the company that was sent out internally: ‘’˜No more midgets, no one starting in their 30’s.’ They want people that can be box office attractions and main characters.’
The Young Bucks would quickly make a joke on their Twitter bio, writing ‘very tall. Not in our 30’s.’ Of course, both Young Bucks are billed at 5’10, Matt Jackson is 36 and Nick is 32.
