GCW Champion and Deathmatch legend Nick Gage recently spoke to Ron Funches on Gettin’ Better. Gage discussed a number of topics on the show, including his want for a Deathmatch against AEW Champion Kenny Omega.
With Nick Gage set to collide with Jon Moxley shortly, he brought up the idea of having an Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch with the AEW Champion Omega. Gage noted though that he didn’t want a bout with the ‘corny sh*t’ that hampered the AEW Revolution match between Moxley and Omega.
“I ain’t doing that corny ass sh*t. It didn’t go well at all,” Gage said about the AEW Revolution contest, which ended in a dud explosion. “I didn’t even like the match. It didn’t flow right, it didn’t feel good.”

“Then they were out there for that countdown for so long” Gage continued. “Shout out to those dudes. Kenny Omega is a beast. I’d love to wrestle him in a deathmatch. He seems like a guy who would do a deathmatch.”
“I wrestled Matt Riddle in a match like that before” Nick Gage recalled. “I hit him in the f*cking head with a light tube. That motherf*cker came back barefoot and stepped in the glass like a f*cking nut.”
“I brought out a barbed wire board and everything” Gage continued. “He gave me a dropkick, I went into the board and was like, ‘I f*cked up. This dude is down for this sh*t.’ I’m proud of him. He deserves it. He’s a machine.”
