Welcome to The Wrest Is History! In this new column we look at back a significant event from this day in Pro Wrestling history. March 3rd saw a 2014 episode of Monday Night RAW being taped from Allstate Arena, Chicago, Illinois. There were reportedly 13,731 fans in attendance for the show.

During the broadcast, Paul Heyman appeared alongside ‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar. This was part of the build up to WrestleMania 30, with Heyman stating that Lesnar would be the man to defeat The Undertaker and end his iconic WrestleMania Streak. Many fans just blew this off as a standard Heyman promo at the time…boy were they wrong.
