Bellator MMA had previously confirmed that Valerie Loureda would be returning to the company at Bellator 258. According to MMAFighting, the contest has now been changed to Bellator 259.

The Flyweight prospect will still be taking on promotion debutant Hannah Guy when she re-enters the cage on May 21 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

MMAFighting stated that “the reason for the rescheduling was not disclosed.” We will however provide an update if and when we can confirm why the fight had to be moved.

Valerie Loureda is 3-0 in her MMA career thus far. The 22 year old is very quickly becoming one of the brightest rising stars on the Bellator roster. Loureda made her company debut at Bellator 216 in February 2019. The taekwondo fighter defeated Coby Fletcher via first-round TKO on the night.

Loureda returned to the cage in June 2019 to defeat Larkyn Dasch at Bellator 222. Valerie Loureda took that win via unanimous decision. After a year out due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Loureda returned to fight Tara Gaff at Bellator 243 and she won via second-round TKO.

Although now changed, the card for Bellator 258 is really starting to take shape. Bantamweight Champion Juan Archuleta will be taking on Sergio Pettis in the main event, plus there will be a five-round co-main event between Light Heavyweights Yoel Romero and Anthony Johnson.
