Cat Zingano will be returning to Bellator MMA at the 256 card. It was confirmed by Bellator that Zingano will be entering the cage for the second time in company history against Olivia Parker on April 9 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.

Cat Zingano had a successful 7-fight run with the UFC before signing to Bellator. Zingano defeated the likes of Miesha Tate, Amanda Nunes and Marion Reneau. The 11-4 Featherweight also had notable losses against Ronda Rousey, Julianna Pena and Megan Anderson.

Speaking to ESPN, Zingano revealed that she was actually offered a bout with also returning Miesha Tate.

Cat Zingano on Miesha Tate

‘About a year and a half ago, I had been asked to do a jiu-jitsu match against her in ONE [Championship]” Cat Zingano revealed. “So I knew that she has been having the itch to be competing again.”

“I’m not so surprised to hear that she comes back and she had her babies, she looks great” Zingano continued. “She got herself back in shape and that always makes you question if ’˜should I go fight right now how would I do?’ And I’m sure that’s where she’s at.’

ESPN recently reported that Tate will be appearing to face Marion Reneau on July 17. The event does not currently have a title although it appears to be a Fight Night event.
