Conor McGregor 'Called Out' by UFC Featherweight Champion

UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski recently ‘called out’ UFC Superstar Conor McGregor. McGregor will be fighting this weekend against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 in the Lightweight division.

Volkanovski will be fighting Brian Ortega in the co-main event of UFC 260, with Max Holloway likely to face the winner of that fight. Holloway had a career-best performance at UFC Fight Night on ABC 1 this past weekend, beating Calvin Kattar via unanimous decision.

‘We talk about the hype around his fights, you’d be an idiot to say you wouldn’t take that fight” Volkanovski began, speaking to FOX Sports Australia. “The money, the whole circus around it. It’d be fun, exciting, but not just that, there’s a little bit of a connection. Because he was a featherweight champion and I’ve taken out Max Holloway and Jose Aldo, the other former champions.”
