UFC Heavyweight Francis Ngannou will be heading to the octagon once again this Saturday. Ngannou is challenging for the UFC Heavyweight Championship in a rematch against Stipe Miocic.

The 15-3 fighter is known for his incredible knockout power, with a number of his finishes coming via his fists.

Sky Sports recently spoke to Gareth A Davies of The Telegraph who touted a potential big-money boxing clash between Francis Ngannou and either Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury.

“I think if Francis Ngannou fights anyone it will be Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua” Davies began. “Ngannou’s Cameroonian, Anthony Joshua has Nigerian heritage. Can you imagine that? The rumble in Lagos between those two? I’d fly over for that, no problem. Maybe they could do one boxing match and one MMA match?”

“But Tyson Fury against Francis Ngannou, too” Davies continued. “Tyson Fury’s talked about it. He’s even sparred with world kickboxing champions. And I’ve spoken to him before and he told me he’d definitely do an MMA fight. I could see it happening.”

Gareth A Davies finished by discussing the other massive cross-over MMA vs Boxing contest that broke the box office: McGregor vs Mayweather. “The reason why Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather was so successful is because they were the most marketable characters from each of the sports, around the same weight division.”

On the same night, Dillian Whyte will be taking on Alexander Povetkin in a rematch; a potential match-up with the Brit is also in consideration. “I think if Dillian Whyte beats Povetkin and then beats Anthony Joshua, then I could see it. But at the moment, for me, it will be Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury against Francis Ngannou” Davies concluded.
