Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has taken to Twitter once again to stir up more controversy. Following the incredible knockout of Stipe Miocic by Francis Ngannou, ‘Bones’ Jones said “show me the money,” indicating that the rumoured fight had not yet been signed.
In an update, Jon Jones has said that he wants north of $10 million dollars to get inside the octagon with the new UFC Heavyweight Champion.
“I had a brief phone meeting with UFC’˜s lawyer Hunter a few days ago” Jon Jones stated on Twitter. “As of right now I expressed to him that anywhere around eight to $10 million would be way too low for a fight of this magnitude.”
“That’s all that has been discussed so far” Jones added.

The public dialogue between the UFC and Jon Jones regarding this fight has been incendiary thus far. Following UFC 260, Dana White said that ‘if I’m Jon Jones and watching this fight at home, I’m moving to 185!’
Jones took offense to the comments. ‘I always hear about how much the company is growing’ Jones began on Twitter, airing his displeasure at the comments from White. ‘Yet one year later I find myself in the same spot.’
‘I put in the work, I’ve done my part’ Jones continued. ‘I have completely transformed myself and now I meet a brick wall.. how discouraging.’
‘A huge slap in the face’ Jones added. ‘And I thought we were in good terms. I’ve been sitting here working hard, excited to come back to the company. Just to get that sh*t.’
It remains to be seen if the UFC can put together arguably the biggest fight in the Heavyweight division’s history.
