UFC Flyweight star Miranda Maverick recently appeared on the Anik & Florian podcast. This week’s episode of the show was the 6th Annual AFPA’s and a 2020 Recap Show.

“I’m just waiting for the call” Miranda Maverick (8-2) began on the podcast; discussing when her next fight in the UFC will be. “Some short notices have been thrown my way and I’ve taken them, I know a couple of girls that have refused [them]. And right now I’m just still waiting. Ready to, getting to where I’m ready for any short notices, keeping my weight low. I’m staying in focus and keeping on training consistently. So I’m just waiting for the call from [the company].”

Miranda Maverick would then discuss her pay in the promotion, saying how she would like to negotiate better per fight fee before moving up the ranks. The INVICTA star commented on how her opponents in the top 10 of the Flyweight division would earn more for a loss than she would for a win right now.

“I hope, before I get a top 10, that I can get my pay up” Maverick stated. “To where I’m making more than they are when they lose, when I win. I’d like to do that before I face some of the top girls, but I’m ready to go in there, against any of the opponents.”

Miranda Maverick would finish the interview by stating who she is looking to face in the division. “I also just love to fight Antonina Shevchenko or even Katlyn Chookagian.” Shevchenko is currently ranked 11 and Chookagian is 3rd in the division (as of writing).
