UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic will be defending his title tonight at UFC 260. The firefighter will be defending against Francis Ngannou inside the UFC APEX from Las Vegas, Nevada live on PPV.
Although he is regarded by many as the Greatest Heavyweight in UFC history, Miocic enters this fight as the underdog.
Although the odds have narrowed since the fight was first confirmed back in January, it’s a little surprising to see the champ as the underdog in this one. Of course, Ngannou was also the odds-on favorite when they fought the first time, but still lost by decision.
Stipe Miocic himself has remained adamant that he will not be losing the gold when he enters the octagon tonight. ‘I’m more efficient. Just overall. I’ve learned more about my body’ Stipe Miocic said to ESPN in the build-up to the PPV main event.
UFC 260 – Heavyweight Title Fight
‘I’m stronger. I’m lighter, but I’m stronger, I’m faster. My conditioning (is better. You know they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks but I feel like I’ve learned a lot.’
‘I’m getting better each day thanks to my coaches’ Miocic continued. ‘He’s getting better too. He’s still young and he’s hungry, and he wants something that I have. Unfortunately, I’m the champion and I’m not giving it up. He won’t be champ until I’m done.’
