The Ultimate Fighting Championships return to Las Vegas, Nevada tonight for the first time since their Fight Island shows. The first Fight Night event back in Vegas will see Alistair Overeem facing Alexander Volkov in the main event of the show. The co-main event of the night will see Frankie Edgar take on Cory Sandhagen.
Overeem enters the main event on a two-fight win streak. The former Strikeforce competitor’s last win came at UFC Fight Night Vegas 9, where he stopped Augusto Sakai in the fifth round via TKO. Number 6 ranked Alexander Volkov enters the fight ranked #6 in the Heavyweight division. Volkov last fought in October 2020, defeating Walt Harris via TKO in the second round.
