Welcome to The Wrest Is History! In this new column we look at back a significant event from this day in Pro Wrestling history. February 24th marked the WCW WrestleWar PPV event from Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Phoenix, Arizona. There were reportedly 6,800 fans in attendance for the event that was headlined by WarGames.
In what is arguably the greatest WarGames match of all time, Brian Pillman, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner & Sting faced The Four Horsemen (Barry Windham, Larry Zbyszko, Ric Flair & Sid Vicious) in a brutal 5 star affair that went just over 20 minutes.
