WWE Superstar Mustafa Ali recently took to Twitter to reveal who pushed for him to come to the main roster in WWE. Ali made his WWE main roster debut during ‘The NEW Daniel Bryan’ angle where Bryan was WWE Champion, but pushing his heel gimmick.
It turns out that it was Daniel Bryan himself who persuaded WWE to bring Mustafa Ali to SmackDown. Bryan apparently was looking towards the future of talent; he wanted to bring Ali into the fold as he was a promising babyface character at the time.

‘Daniel Bryan goes ’˜we need to invest in the future’” Mustafa Ali wrote on Twitter; addressing how he was brought to SmackDown.
“They [WWE Officials] go ’˜who do you have in mind?’ Bryan says ’˜give me Ali’” Mustafa Ali continued. “He (Daniel Brayn) may or may not have also called me a hot, young babyface.’
The former leader of RETRIBUTION was slated to be the WWE Championship challenger heading into WrestleMania 36. Unfortunately, Ali was injured and the spot ended going to Kofi Kingston, which started the drive towards #KofiMania and the biggest opportunity for the tenured WWE Superstar at that point in his career.
