This week in wrestling saw some interesting developments in terms of the television ratings for the four main programs broadcasted. Below is the up to date weekly ratings for RAW, SmackDown, NXT and AEW Dynamite.
RAW on USA NETWORK
- April 26, 2021 – 1.774 million viewers
- May 3, 2021 – 1.872 million viewers
RAW continues to underperform, even though it is the most established WWE brand it is continuing to draw sub 2 million in the ratings each and every week.
SmackDown on FOX
- April 30, 2021 – 1.923 million viewers
- May 7, 2021 – 2.157 million viewers
After a fairly shock drop for last week’s show that featured Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns in the main event, this week the blue brand bounced back to over 2 million viewers, potentially with some of the intrigue of Daniel Bryan’s WWE future interesting viewers.
Weekly Pro Wrestling Ratings
NXT on USA NETWORK
- April 27, 2021 – 744,000 viewers
- May 4, 2021 – 761,000 viewers
The move to Tuesdays does seem to have had a minor change to the weekly rating for NXT. Although this week was a bump up from the end of April, it is still below what they were anticipated to get without the direct competition of AEW Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite on TNT
- April 28, 2021 – 889,000 viewers
- May 5, 2021 – 1.090 million viewers (Blood & Guts)
AEW Dynamite had a major bounce back in the ratings this week after a fairly disappointing end to April. It’s worth noting that last week’s episode went up against a Presidential speech, so this week’s return to over a million viewers for Blood & Guts is a welcome return for the company. Dynamite was #1 in all of cable on Wednesday this week.
