WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio and his son Dominic are currently embroiled in a feud with SmackDown’s ‘King’ Baron Corbin. The master of the 619 recently spoke to Forbes and teased that he has a counter to the former Golden Gloves boxer.

‘I have a little surprise that eventually will pop up” Rey Mysterio began. “I’m just waiting for the right time for that, and the whole SmackDown family will know.”

Rey Mysterio on ‘Surprise’

“We do know that Corbin was a former Golden Gloves boxer” Rey Mysterio continued. “So we might go down that route.’

Mysterio was previously accompanying Cain Velasquez to the ring for the former UFC fighter’s short career as a WWE Superstar. The phrasing that Rey Mysterio uses here seems to indicate that they would be looking to use someone with a combat sports background, and the former UFC Heavyweight Champion would certainly be a likely candidate.
