Samoa Joe Leaves RAW Commentary Desk, Will He Wrestle Again?

It has been reported that Samoa Joe will no longer be part of the RAW commentary team. Wrestling Inc. exclusively reported that former ESPN announcer Adnan Virk will be taking over play-by-play duties on Monday nights, replacing Tom Phillips.

According to Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Radio, he is set to be joined by Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. Graves is of course currently a member of the SmackDown team, so he will be moving over to Monday Nights.

It has not been revealed if Tom Phillips or Samoa Joe will be heading to Friday nights and FOX. With Michael Cole currently on the show, it is unlikely that Phillips will make the move, as he was the play-by-play on RAW.

Samoa Joe Returning To The Ring?

That leaves Samoa Joe, although at this point there’s currently no update on his status with the company. Joe has not competed in WWE in quite some time, apparently due to concussion protocol in WWE.

There’s a chance that WWE will clarify Samoa Joe’s position in the coming week, there’s even a chance that he might make a shock appearance at WrestleMania 37 this weekend.
