Rap Superstar Snoop Dogg recently appeared on Hot 97’s Ebro in the Morning podcast. The D O double G discussed a number of topics during the interview, including his appearance at AEW’s Jan. 6 New Years Smash episode of Dynamite.

Snoop Dogg appeared on the show and hit a ‘frog splash,’ all as part of the promotion for the then-new TBS Go-Big Show. Dogg revealed that WWE were in fact not happy with his appearance for the ‘rival’ promotion.

“Let me tell you this, Snoop Dogg ain’t no wrestler. He’s bigger than that” Snoop Dogg began on the podcast. “You gotta understand that. This is the dynamics of what happened: I had a show on TBS called Go-Big Show.”

“So, Cody Rhodes was one of the judges on the show, and he’s one of the top dogs at AEW” Snoop continued. “So, as a promotional vehicle for the gig, I went on AEW.”

‘Hey, you running with them? We got to push pause on your ass for a minute,’ said Snoop, discussing how WWE apparently reacted to the appearance on TNT. ‘So, I stayed cool. They pushed pause for about two weeks, and then they go, ’˜hey man, we got this videogame and we need you.’’

Snoop Dogg is of course the cousin of WWE Superstar Sasha Banks. The Gin n Juice star has appeared at WrestleMania and at other appearances for WWE in the past. Clearly WWE thought they had the monopoly on Snoop appearances, clearly not.
