It has been confirmed by multiple sources that WWE RAW Superstar Humberto Carrillo was injured during this week’s episode of WWE Monday Night RAW.

Fightful Select noted that the ending to his match against Sheamus had to be changed on the fly as he was injured during the bout itself.

Superstar Injured Against Sheamus

“Carrillo did a sunset flip powerbomb that saw Sheamus land on his knee” Fightful Select wrote. “Carrillo signaled, and the ref checked on him; leading to the double countout finish that we saw on the air, which wasn’t the plan.”

Currently, there’s no update on Humberto Carrillo’s status. There’s also no indication as to when he will be ready to return nor how long he might be out of action.

Carrillo was expected to be taking on Sheamus in a longer term program for the WWE United States Championship on RAW. It’s not known if he will need to be replaced in the feud; or if he’ll be able to make a return quicker than expected.
