WWE Superstar Becky Lynch made her long-anticipated return to WWE programming at this evening’s WWE SummerSlam 2021 PPV event.

Bianca Belair was set to face Carmella in a match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, with Sasha Banks not available to appear on the show for undisclosed reasons.

The fans in attendance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas were not happy with the replacement, and before the match could start Becky Lynch would make her way out to the capacity crowd and confirm that she was back in the company.

Lynch had been out of action for over a year, with The Man going on maternity leave for her first daughter, Roux, who was born in December 2020.

The match then became Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Lynch would get the quick win to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion.
