Braun Strowman: WWE wants to re-sign former Superstar for ‘less’ money

Former WWE Superstar Braun Strowman is reportedly back on WWE’s radar as someone they would like to re-sign.

According to Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE want to bring the massive Superstar back, but for less than the 1.2 million per year that he was making prior to his release.

‘They’re interested in having Braun Strowman back at a lower price” Meltzer began on the show. “But who knows what things will happen. I guess he’s signed up to do a show in Qatar, so he’s doing some indies, so he’ll get a big payday off that.’

It was also noted on the show that WWE is a very different landscape in terms of giants than it was when Strowman initially signed.

Will Braun Strowman return to WWE?

Superstars such as Omos and Commander Aziz joined the main roster during the WWE ThunderDome era, and suddenly Braun Strowman was not the biggest dog in the yard.

WWE is apparently concerned at AEW inking deals with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk, and Strowman is a major name that they don’t want to see go All Elite; hence the reason they are reportedly looking at bringing him back into the fold.

Mark Henry recently revealed that there was interest in bringing Strowman to All Elite, and the interest was apparently reciprocated by the ’˜Monster Among Men.’

It remains to be seen if Strowman will make a return to WWE, but for him to do so he will likely have to take a significant pay cut.
