Bianca Belair and Bayley will go head to head inside of the Hell In a Cell structure this Sunday at the titular PPV event. It was confirmed on this week’s episode of SmackDown that the two women will be the second Cell match on the night.
Originally, Roman Reigns vs Rey Mysterio and Drew McIntyre vs Bobby Lashley were the two Cell matches set for the night. Reigns vs Mysterio took place on Friday Night SmackDown, meaning that there was a slot for a second Hell In a Cell match on the PPV.
Belair challenged Bayley to the match during the show, with the ‘Role Model’ accepting the stipulation and attacking Bianca Belair before the end of the segment.
Fourth Ever Women’s Hell In a Cell
This will be the only the fourth ever Women’s HIAC match to take place in WWE history, with Bayley entering her second ever.
Bianca Belair becomes the first ever non-Four Horsewomen WWE Superstar to enter the Cell structure. With Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte Flair having taken place at WWE HIAC 2016, Banks vs. Becky Lynch at WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 and Sasha Banks vs. Bayley at WWE Hell in a Cell 2020.
Bianca Belair won the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37, and she is currently odds on favourite to retain the title at the show this weekend. With fans returning as of July, there is a chance that Bayley could win with Belair then chasing in front of a crowd every week.
