Bellator CEO Confirms That Promotion Is ‘Speaking’ To Megan Anderson

Former UFC fighter Megan Anderson is reportedly in talks to sign with Bellator MMA. The company’s CEO Scott Coker recentlly spoke to MMA Junkie, and he confirmed that the promotion are in talks with the Australian fighter.

Coker said that Bellator are in fact in talks with the former Invicta FC Featherweight Champion. ‘I think my guys are talking to her, but I’ll have to confirm that,’ Coker said.

Following her loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 259, Anderson left the company; confirming that her deal was up and not going to be renewed.

Megan Anderson put out a statement on Instragram after that fight. She said that was “fight number 6 of my 6 fight deal with the UFC. I had an amazing run with the promotion, culminating in a UFC world title fight.”

Megan Anderson Heading To Bellator MMA?

“If you know me and the journey I have been on, just to reach the pinnacle of the sport is something I am incredibly proud of” Anderson continued. “I want to thank my team and everyone at the UFC for the past 3 years; it’s been amazing to perform for my fans on such a big stage.’

Megan Anderson also said that she is looking to ‘heal up’ from her injuries. Anderson said this was the plan before her next move in combat sports.

‘I’m looking to rest up and heal from my injuries before I decide what is next for my MMA career” Anderson stated. “Regardless of what the UFC decides to do with the Women’s 145 division, there are plenty of opportunities for me across the world to continue to do what I love.
