Outspoken UFC fighter Colby Covington recently spoke to reporter Helen Yee. Covington discussed a number of topics during the interview, including the upcoming boxing bout between Jake Paul and Ben Askren.
‘Hopefully Ben goes out there and knocks out Jake Paul,’ Colby Covington began when speaking Helen Yee. ‘I’m just sick of hearing him talk. He’s just running his mouth and there’s no substance behind anything he says.
‘I think he will [beat Paul], I think he’s just going to put that pressure on him” Covington continued. “If he uses the clinch and just ties him up and just gets him tired, there’s no doubt he has a better gas tank than Jake Paul ’“ some little YouTuber”.

“The kid’s a complete joke, he’s an embarrassment to society” Colby Covington added. “He’s an embarrassment to the MMA and boxing world in general. I hope Ben goes out there and shuts his mouth.”
Covington does not share the same beliefs as fellow Welterweight contender Jorge Masvidal. ‘Gamebred’ has been training with Jake Paul ahead of the boxing bout on April 17.
Masvidal appeared during the Paul vs Askren press conference last weekend. Jake Paul Facetimed Masvidal during the press conference, with Jorge asking ‘he’s still alive?’ when he saw Ben Askren at the desk.
The fight between Paul and Askren is set to be a mainstream hit. The show will be available on Triller Fight Club for US$49.99 in the United States. The event will also be available to via on FITE TV in the UK and Europe for only $23.99.
