Dana White Says That He Will Have Another Meeting With Khabib

Much has been made about the meeting between UFC President Dana White and UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov this past week.

The UFC President met with Khabib in Abu Dhabi to discuss if the current UFC Lightweight Champion would retire or chase the 30-0 record. Khabib Nurmagomedov ’˜retired’ last year after defeating Justin Gaethje and retaining his Lightweight Championship at UFC 254.

Dana White confirmed on this past week’s Fight Night that Khabib will return to UFC’¦IF he sees ‘something spectacular.’ We don’t have an answer, but White confirmed that if McGregor vs Poirier is as good as it is expected to be? Khabib will return.

White then informed the media that he will be having talks again with Khabib, but in Vegas.

‘I will have the fight [UFC 257] and fly home on Sunday and I’ll see him again in Vegas,’ White said. ‘Those fights will have played out, he and I are gonna hook up and go to dinner in Vegas and talk again, and we’ll make a decision.”

‘And one thing he did say is, ’˜I’ll never hold up the division” White continued. “‘Whoever is next, if I decide I don’t wanna fight any of these guys, whoever is next is next.’’
