Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has been posting training updates with his move up to the Heavyweight ranks. ‘Bones’ looks extremely impressive in the new video he recently put up on Twitter.

Jon Jones exhibits speed and power that could potentially match well with the likes of Stipe Miocic, Francis Ngannou and Derrick Lewis in the highest weight class.

Jones also wrote about how he feels about the move up in weight and how training has actually cost him poundage. “It feels good to be hitting mitts more consistently again” Jones revealed. “Don’t think it’s the best for my bulking, considering that I’m back down to 245 pounds.”

“I will admit I feel good at this weight” Jon Jones continued. “Let’s just see where the cards land. My goal is to compete a lot bigger.”

Jon Jones and The Potential Return Opponents

There have been several UFC fighters that have pitched to fight Jones when he returns to the octagon. Current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jan Blachowicz recently told TMZ Sports that he wants a shot at Jones. ‘If he’s not coming back to 205, I’ll go to heavyweight and catch him there, No problem!”

The previously hyped fight against Israel Adesanya now appears to be off the table, with Adesanya losing to the aforementioned Blanchowicz at UFC 259. Jones himself recently said that the Izzy fight no longer interests him.

‘Give it up coach,’ Jones replied to Adesanya’s head coach on Twitter, who said the fight still interests the team. ‘We’ve all seen your cards, your boy has almost no take down defense or offense off his back.”

“Now you’re just being a cloud trout” Jones continued. “if you would honestly send him in there against a 260 pound wrestler after that last performance, you don’t care about his well being.”
