Former UFC fighter Megan Anderson has confirmed via Twitter that she has been hospitalised. There’s no official reason as to why the Australian fighter has been taken in, but it likely isn’t attached to her recent loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 259.

Anderson recently addressed her future following her contract ending with UFC.

Taking to Instagram, the Australian star issued a statement on her future. ‘In light of the news that came out yesterday, I wanted to address my fans’ Megan Anderson began. ‘I wanted to say thank you for all the love and support you have sent me over the past few days.’

‘Saturday night was fight number 6 of my 6 fight deal with the UFC’ Megan Anderson continued. ‘I had an amazing run with the promotion, culminating in a UFC world title fight.”

“If you know me and the journey I have been on, just to reach the pinnacle of the sport is something I am incredibly proud of” Anderson continued. “I want to thank my team and everyone at the UFC for the past 3 years, it’s been amazing to perform for my fans on such a big stage.”

Anderson did tweet a few days ago saying that she was going on a girl’s night out. Here’s hoping that it was just a very long night out and this is a hangover cure.
