This past Wednesday saw AEW produce a stunning tribute to Brodie Lee/Jon Huber. The leader of the Dark Order stable in All Elite passed away following double lung complications at the age of 41, just last week.

The special episode of AEW Dynamite was emotional, compelling and one of the best tributes ever made to a performer in the pro wrestling industry. Several names from both AEW and WWE tweeted to say that they watched the event. Many commented on how were moved by how AEW highlighted the life of Jon Huber.

One of the shocks during the show saw Brodie Lee’s former WWE tag team partner appear at Daily’s Place. Erick Rowan (now know as Erick Redbeard) appeared to run Inner Circle member Wardlow to the back. This was after Wardlow interfered in the match between MJF, Proud & Powerful and Hangman Page, John Silver and Alex Reynolds.

Rowan held up a sign following the match that read “goodbye for now, my brother. I’ll see you down the road.” It was a powerful moment and everyone in the ring was holding back tears during the segment.

According to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Erick Rowan’s appearance is currently believed to be a ‘one-off.’ Although there is no deal between Rowan and the company? Dave Meltzer would indicate that “obviously anything can change in the future.”
