PROGRESS Wrestling has confirmed that a Women’s Championship Best of Three Series will be taking place over the next few Chapters.
Kanji, who won the Women’s Thunderbastard match at Chapter 105 to become the Number 1 contender to the PROGRESS Women’s Championship.
The Champion before Chapter 108 was WWE NXT UK Superstar Jinny. The ‘Fashionista’ appeared on screen during Chapter 108 and confirmed that she had to relinquish the title; however she will be returning at some point to PROGRESS.
New PROGRESS Women’s Champion To Be Crowned
Gisele Shaw then appeared and wanted to know why Jinny was seemingly ‘giving’ the Championship to Kanji. Jinny confirmed that there will be a Best of Three series between Shaw and Kanji to determine the new Women’s Champion of PROGRESS.
The first match of the series will be taking place on Chapter 109: Dreaming in 3D. Shaw vs Kanji is currently the only match to be confirmed for the next Chapter event on April 24. The show will be available to watch on WWE Network and demandPROGRESS upon release.
