There have been rumours and rumblings in the past that WWE Superstars Seth Rollins and Matt Riddle have had ‘heat’ backstage.
Seth Rollins himself lit a fire under the rumours with his comments on a WWE Draft special. Rollins would say that had “no interest” in ever working with Riddle in-ring. This was compounded by the fact that Seth Rollins was quickly eliminated from the Survivor Series match last year; Matt Riddle was on the opposing team and they got nowhere near each other.
Whilst this may have been coincidence? There’s still been some truth to the rumours at least.

Fightful Select recently confirmed that they “spoke to numerous people who were backstage at WWE Survivor Series.” Who said that “it seemed as if the two had squashed the issue between them. Rollins didn’t look at Riddle during the entire match; but it was indicated to us that the two approached each other to discuss the issues and seemed to have rectified them and left open to working with one another in the past.”
It was also reported that Matt Riddle has “apologized for comments made by his wife towards Becky Lynch.” These were where she ‘body shamed’ her.

Matt Riddle’s wife Lisa wrote the following on Instagram with an image of Becky Lynch last year, seemingly adding to the prior friction. “calling out multiple Main Roster Divas over the past couple of weeks for being straight skinny jiggly fat (not saying they aren’t beautiful, just saying SQUAT). It’s funny because there have been multiple female wrestlers that have asked to train with me. Each one of them look great in their gear.“
“Clearly they know what they are doing (especially if they want to train with yours truly ). ALL females freaking SQUAT and go HARD! I do not have many photos of my rear end in minimal clothing besides these two. Here is a comparison of me, not caring what I look like, just trying to be strong a decent Olympic Lifter, and a mom of 3 vs two females getting paid a TON of money for how they look. Rant over.’
