WWE will be presenting their Royal Rumble 2021 event this Sunday from the ThunderDome. The winner of the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches traditionally go on to face the Champion of their choice in the ‘main event’ of WrestleMania 37.

WrestleMania 37 will be taking place this year in-front of a crowd once again. Although it will be far smaller than the usual Mania crowd, it will be at least 25% of the stadium WWE are running in April, due to coronavirus COVID-19 restrictions.

WrestleMania 37 Main Event

In an update on the plans for the show itself, reportedly only 1 match is currently confirmed for the two-night event in April. The match that has apparently been confirmed is the bout involving Universal Champion Roman Reigns. There’s currently no confirmation on who Reigns will be facing, but it was confirmed that it would not be Shinsuke Nakamura.

That may well be a spoiler for the Rumble, but there is still a chance that Nakamura wins the match and chooses to face Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania; although that isn’t likely, as Nakamura cut a promo released to Twitter saying that he wants to face Roman for the Universal Championship. Another Superstar could also win the Rumble and challenge Drew, leaving Nakamura the chance to challenge Roman for the title at WrestleMania 37.

Here’s the current odds for the Men’s Royal Rumble match (via SkyBet):

Men’s Royal Rumble 2021 Match Winner Odds

  • Daniel Bryan – 1/1
  • Edge – 2/1
  • Brock Lesnar – 7/1
  • Keith Lee – 7/1
  • Big E – 8/1
  • Drew McIntyre – 10/1
  • Goldberg – 10/1
  • Shinsuke Nakamura – 10/1
  • Braun Strowman – 12/1
  • AJ Styles – 14/1
