Billie Kay Talks Reception To Her New 'Resume' Gimmick

WWE Superstar Billie Kay recently appeared on ‘The Run In’ on BT Sport. The new show on BT Sport is part of the build up to the Elimination Chamber PPV on Sunday.

During the show Billie Kay discussed her appearance in the Royal Rumble as well as how her new ‘resume’ gimmick came about. After the IIconics tag team split up it was assumed by many that Peyton Royce would go on to be the bigger star of the two, but with her new character angle Billie Kay has shone on WWE programming over the last few months.

Billie Kay discussed how this came about during the BT Sport show.

“I think it was my first promo on SmackDown since being drafted? I handed my resume to Mr [Adam] Pearce” Kay began. “Lovely gentlemen. And afterwards, I was kind of like…it was like a light bulb went on, and I was just like, ‘oh, I think this could be a thing?

Billie Kay also discussed the praise she has received from fans and other performers since bringing in this new character wrinkle. “Seeing the love and support that I got? I was like, ‘thank you!’ It just…it really did like make me feel like I was supposed to be doing what I was doing.”
