WWE Superstar Goldberg recently appeared on the After The Bell podcast w/Corey Graves. This was the first episode of the show to be released in 2021, after the podcast took a short hiatus late last year.
During the show, Corey Graves would discuss who his picks are to win the 2021 Royal Rumble Men’s and Women’s matches. Interestingly, Graves would go for two ‘dark horse’ options, namely Cesaro and Bayley respectively.
Corey Graves Royal Rumble Picks
‘I’m picking Bayley to win the Women’s Rumble’ Corey Graves began on the podcast. ‘She’s won the Grand Slam and she’s done everything there is to do in the Women’s division. However, she has yet to win a women’s Royal Rumble match, and for my money Bayley is just firing on all cylinders right now.’
‘And for the men’s side of things? I’m gonna throw a dark horse at you” Graves continued. “It’s no secret, I have advocated for him on this podcast for many moons. I think, finally? The stars have aligned and he is functioning at a high enough level. I think Cesaro shocks everybody and wins the Royal Rumble. And I’m going to do you one better. Not only is Cesaro winning the men’s Royal Rumble match? Cesaro then challenges Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.’
If either of the two were more likely to win, it would definitely be Bayley. The ‘Role Model’ has a potential matchup with Sasha Banks waiting in the wings and is currently down at 9/1 to win the Rumble match (according to SkyBet). Cesaro however is down at 16/1 for the Men’s Rumble, which in fairness is far worse odds (from a money making standpoint) than they were just a couple of weeks ago.
