Reason AJ Styles and Omos Have Been Off WWE Programming

New WWE RAW Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Omos have not appeared on WWE programming since their title win at WrestleMania 37.

Styles and Omos defeated The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods; with Omos coming out of the bout looking like a dominating threat to the WWE tag team division going forward.

The first appearance for the duo was on this week’s episode of WWE’s The Bump. AJ Styles said that he and Omos had been ‘partying in Nigeria’ and that was the reason they had not been on RAW.

This of course is a storyline reason for the absence. Fightful Select recently reported that one of the two men simply wasn’t cleared, and that’s why they hadn’t been on RAW in the past couple of weeks.

AJ Styles and Omos

AJ Styles and Omos did claim that they would be appearing on the show this week, but the new RAW Tag Team Champions have had barely any mention on WWE television.

It’s intriguing that WWE opted to bring back the duo on a random episode of The Bump. WWE clearly have huge (pardon the pun) plans for Omos and AJ Styles is still regarded as one of the greatest ever.

There’s currently no news on who the new tag Champ’s feud will be, although with WrestleMania Backlash being a few weeks away it’s likely that a rematch against The New Day will be on the cards.
