This week the grandest stage of them all takes centre stage again as Wrestlemania comes to town at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
WWE often likes to mention how they make history, whether it be via attendances or more recently social media numbers, but this time last year they did indeed make history by holding the first-ever Wrestlemania event with no fans present.
’˜The show must go on’ as they say (or as Vince McMahon says), and last year it did.
Though it will be nowhere near the same as a regular Wrestlemania, with social distancing still present, there will at least be some fans in attendance for WM37, and that in itself gives cause for optimism for the event.
At the very least, the site of real people and not screens like within the Thunderdome will come as a joyous sight and a signal that better days are coming.
Here’s our preview for the much anticipated WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair.
WrestleMania 37 – Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair
Two of the most athletic and charismatic superstars ever in the WWE will face off, probably as the main event of the card on Saturday, for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.
The career similarities between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair are there for all to see, as although they both struggled on the mic initially, Banks has gone on to find herself as a heel while Bel Air is making good progress in that regard.
It may be of interest to you that Belair is actually two years older than Banks, yet has much less experience in the ring, so this one will be down to Banks to make the other look good (not that she needs much help) as well as set the tone.
Belair is 31, so if you want to skyrocket her into superstardom, now is the time.
