It has been revealed that Amanda Ribas will be making her return to the UFC octagon on May 8. The Strawweight fighter will be reportedly fighting American Angela Hill.

The fight will be taking place on the undercard for the TJ Dillashaw vs. Cory Sandhagen bantamweight No. 1 contender fight. As of writing, the fight does not have an official venue or location finalised.

MMAFighting.com first reported the news of Amanda Ribas returning; it is likely that the fight will be taking place on the main card of the Dillashaw vs Sandhagen event. Right now it is looking like this will be a Fight Night presentation.

Amanda Ribas vs Angela Hill

Amanda Ribas is currently ranked 10th in the UFC’s Strawweight division. The Brazilian born fighter joined the UFC back in 2019 and has accumulated some quality wins against some of the division’s big names; Paige VanZant, Emily Whitmire, Mackenzie Dern and Randa Markos.

Ribas appeared to be the emerging as a top tier contender in the 115 pound division. That was until her most recent fight, were the Brazilian was knocked out by Marina Rodriguez.

Angela Hill is a respected veteran in the company, coming back from a win herself against Ashley Yoder during UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs. Muhammad back in March.

The remainder of the card is yet to be revealed for May. Right now UFC are building a stacked run up of events over the next few months, including McGregor vs Poirier and Chandler vs Oliveira.
