Monster Energy Responds To Allegations Made By Dominick Cruz

Dominick Cruz

UFC fighter Dominick Cruz had a very interesting/strange post fight interview this past Saturday at UFC 259. The veteran mixed martial artist decided to call out Hans Molenkamp, a business development representative who works with Monster Energy.

Cruz made claims that Molenkamp uses his position for personal gain; before saying that he would fight Molenkamp for charity either in the octagon or even outside of the UFC. Joe Rogan was quick to apologise for viewers for the situation becoming ‘political,’ something Dominick Cruz denied before the interview ended.

“We take any such allegations seriously and are looking into it at this time,” a Monster spokesperson recently wrote to MMA Fighting. At this time there are no further details offered from the company.

Cruz also made comments regarding the situation during the UFC 259 post-fight presser. “Look at my face, look at my body, I get beat to death for a living,” Cruz said after beating Casey Kenney. “So when you try to force me and you text me if I don’t comment on your page, if I don’t give you an interview, that you’re going to take what pays my bills? What are we doing? Monster sponsors me, not you.”
