AEW star and former WWE Champion Chris Jericho recently donated to the family of the murdered Uber Eats driver Mohammad Anwar.

Anwar was killed last week, during an alleged botched carjacking. The two individuals who attempted to steal the vehicle were only 13 and 15 years of age.

“Just the feeling of terror he must’ve had being stuck halfway out of the car as the thieves, mere children, hit the gas. Something out of a horror movie” Jericho told TMZ Sports.

“I just thought the whole situation was terrible and it really hit me hard” Jericho continued. “It’s not much, but it’s the most I could do to try and bring some light into a dark situation.”

Chris Jericho donated to the GoFundMe that now sits at $951,948 in donations. The initial goal was $100,000, but the story and tragedy of the situation has meant that over 18,108 people have donated.

Jericho himself donated $2,500 to the GoFundMe.

The incident itself was captured on video, with the two young girls attempting the hijacking whilst Mohammad Anwar shouted “this is my car.”

Our thoughts go out to the family of Mohammad Anwar at this terrible time.
